Collapsing Euro
The Euro is collapsing in value as are metals and even the price of oil. It’s happening not because of sage government intervention, but rather because investors are confident that a very bad recession is coming.
Do not be surprised if we see hyperinflation in the Eurozone, caused primarily by bad governance and excessive issuing of the currency as a crisis response.
Do not be surprised if a number of Eurozone countries drop the currency in the end for their own new currency. I doubt Ireland will do so as our current government would keep the Irish people on a sinking ship long after everyone else including the crew have boarded the life-boats.
There are hard times coming, but if we can manage to stick together and force positive, people-centric policies through government, beyond the dark clouds there may be a bright new dawning day. By Finbar O’Marcaigh

As of RIGHT NOW Ireland are officially ranked as the NO.1 Rugby Team in world rugby A series-clinching victory against the All Blacks in Wellington today means Ireland now replace France as the number one team in the world.
The West County Where?
A number of people turned up at the West County Hotel in Dublin in the belief that a public meeting was being organised by the Irish Freedom Party on Tuesday night, 12th July. They were disappointed as there was no meeting. The meeting did however take place at the West County one of the best known hotels in County Clare and is located in Ennis. Leaflets and social media notices didn’t state which West County.
A Big Worry for Refugees
Deportation to ease pressure on the system ‘a big worry for refugees’ according to Lucky Khambule of the ‘Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland’ warned that people will end up sleeping on the streets because they will have nowhere else. He said that Ireland is reactionary in dealing with arrivals seeking international protection. Instead of planning ahead that people will end up sleeping on the streets because they will have nowhere else to go.
They will end up in the same sorry state as thousands of Irish then.
Not all Ukrainians are Ukrainians
They’re only counting people from Ukraine here (or at least people who say that’s where they’re from). As the Secretary General of the Irish Red Cross admitted (https://t.me/OrlaredChan/6016) recently, not everyone has the proof.
Tánaiste Leo Varadkar said there are no plans to cap the number of Ukrainian refugees arriving into the country, suggesting we are not yet taking in our fair share.
He said that Ireland has not taken as many displaced Ukrainians as other countries on a comparative basis and that, even with the system for receiving refugees now full, EU rules would not allow for limits to be placed.
“This is part of European law. So it’s actually not in our authority, in any case, to limit the numbers that are coming from Ukraine,” said Mr Varadkar.

The Big Ukrainian Welcome
Because of overcrowding at Dublin’s City West Hotel which is now a refugee transit centre new arrivals identifying as Ukrainian refugees are being advised to remain at Dublin Airport or seek alternative accommodation. The old central terminal building is being used as an emergency holding place for arriving refugees as the Irish State has run out of locations to accommodate them. Meanwhile hundreds of Ukrainian refugees will be forced to sleep in tents indefinitely as a heat wave grips the country, while thousands of homes pledged by the public are not being used, despite being approved. The government are managing this ‘refugee’ influx with their usual degree of planning and expertise.
More Dublin Flight Cancellation Chaos
Three more flights were cancelled at Dublin Airport today including two Aer Lingus flights to France according to Aoife Breslin in yesterdays Irish Independent’
This morning, the 7.50am British Airways flight to London LHR, flight BA831 was called off. The 11.40am Aer Lingus flight EI552 to Lyon has also been cancelled, as well as the 13.30pm Aer Lingus flight to Bordeaux EI506, due to Covid-19…. An Aer Lingus spokesperson said: “Industrial action at Bordeaux Airport, Lyon Airport and Pisa Airport has required the mandatory cancellation of two return flights on Friday, two return flights on Saturday, and one return flight on Sunday.
“Elevated levels of sickness amongst our employees associated with the latest Covid wave, has forced Aer Lingus to cancel two return flights on Friday.” Other Aer Lingus flights that have been delayed are the 12.40pm flight to Donegal and the 9.20am flight to Newcastle.
Ryanair’s 16.50pm flight to Naples has also been delayed, as well as Turkish Airlines flight TK4074 at 9.55am to Antalya. Lufthansa flight LH977 at 9.50am to Frankfurt and the airlines 10.30am flight to Munich have also been called off. Although there are currently no cancelled Aer Lingus flights to London, they have explained that due to London Heathrow’s capacity reduction one way flights will be cancelled over the weekend.

Ukrainian Government Corruption
In mid-June, France, the EU’s biggest agriculture producer shipped 31 tonnes of seeds to Ukraine in a bid to avert a food crisis. This should have allowed the potential harvest of 260,000 tonnes of food. The shipment included seeds for beets, carrots, cabbage and tomatoes. Paris also supplied Kyiv with 600 tonnes of seed potatoes in April and May to counter planting disruptions amid the fighting. People with direct knowledge of the situation say that to date not an ounce of this has reached a single Ukrainian farmer. Instead, the authorities in Kyiv used their well-established pattern of illicit arms trafficking to sell French humanitarian aid to neighbouring countries.
