Boris Johnson first British PM to have officially broken the law

Boris Johnson has made history but not as he would have chosen to by becoming the first British PM to have officially broken the law. He was hit with a fixed penalty notice over a series of denied Downing Street lockdown parties.

No previous British prime minister has ever been fined or prosecuted for breaking the law during their term in office in such a manner. Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak are just two of the 30 people who have received Fixed Penalty Notices for attending parties in breach of Covid-19 laws which were held at Downing Street and Whitehall.

Of course Edward Heath a previous British PM got away with much more serious sex offences with underage boys as did other MP’s such as Cyril Smith. There have also been allegations about other British PM’s and parliamentarians as well as judges and other government officials in the past but this is the first time a British Prime Minister has officially broken the law. Really serious law breaches and criminality particularly around sex offences have been successfully kept under wraps by the establishment in the past where sex abuse was and is endemic and where financial criminality is rampant.
