Has Irish dancing gone to hell? A girls under-14 Irish dancing contest held in Dallas, Texas organised by grandly sounding Irish dancing’s governing body known as ‘An Coimisiún Rincí Gaelach’ an outfit with no backbone has now gone ‘woke’ and allowed a girl’s contest to be won by a confused boy who has decided to be a girl. The Irish dancing governing body An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha (CLRG) has decided that dancers can compete in the gender category they identify with after what it said was “considerable internal and external discussion”.
This individual had previously competed successfully in boy’s contests, and finished 11th in the 2023 boys World Championships. He is now competing as a girl with an unfair physical advantage over girls. He is also sending a trans message to children of a vulnerable and impressionable age. Sports, especially swimming has already been severely contaminated by this disease of the mind with disastrous consequences.
This outfit has been going downhill for years by aping the dress code of American children’s beauty contests with their ostentatious wigs and elaborate and very expensive outfits. I wonder if they are awarding marks for costumes? What if a girl entered a contest wearing a skirt and ‘brat’ (or would they even know what that is?) as was traditional in the past? Would she even be allowed on stage or would she even have to be a girl? Irish dancing should be run from Ireland and not be taken over by foreign madness.
The ridiculous costumes and wigs and now the gender madness have turned Irish dancing competitions into a ridiculous charade. This on top of the recent judging scandal suggests a root and branch clean out of the managing body needs to take place or failing that the outfit needs to be closed down. There is a sane alternative in the Open Platform Irish Dance Federation. Wake up parents. Stop allowing yourselves and your children to be exploited by this sickening brainwashing agenda.
